Lazy Ballerina Winery & Cellar Door. A family run institution with great wine, an amazing garden for you to enjoy, plus our kitchen is open for you if you want to lunch with us. Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We are a must visit thing to do if you like McLaren Vale & Adelaide Hills Wine. The word "lazy" in our name is exactly how you'll spend your time here. We are shady on a hot day, and have fires when its cold. At all times children and dogs on leads are welcome, we regularly top child or dog friendly activities lists, visit us an see why.
Lazy Ballerina wine is available exclusively from cellar door and selected restaurants. You can drop in anytime we are open for a wine tasting, or simply have wine by the glass or bottle in our garden.
Organising a group wine tour? We offer a relaxed wine tasting for groups for just $10 per person. Taste from our local range of wines with a selection of cheeses and local goodness included. Bookings are essential. Please call 08 85567085 to check availability or email us through our contact page.
Want to lunch with us? Let us feed you. We have our Autumn Menu for $30pp. Under 15's are $15pp and kids Under 7 eat free. Bookings essential. We can be a popular place on weekends & public holidays, please check if we can share our majestic garden with you for lunch.
Unfortunately we are fully booked on Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday. We have availability on Easter Monday.
We typically book out for lunches on the weekend 2 to 3 weeks in advance... so get in quick and check our calendar.
FAQ: We are family friendly and love it when our guests bring their pets (just bring a lead in case we have other fur babies here also).
Are you vegan friendly? Yes, our feed me lunch is suitable for vegans, just let us know when you book or arrive. Most of our wine is also suitable too, as we don't use fining agents, just check with us if you need more information.
Are you organic? Our owner James' is a big believer in the concept of growing wine organically. He has worked with many of the major organic farming innovators to promote organic farming. Our dream is to one day have the whole garden, food and wine certified as organic.
James has also been an integral part of developing the Sustainable Australia Winegrowing programme, and is still actively involved as a volunteer.
In the meantime, we use organic ingredients in our food wherever possible. We have B.d Paris Creek milk and cheese. Howie Hill Farm meat and Andy Clappis' famous doughs and breads.
